The Old View - a multiplate, reduction linocut

As he sat there, gazing out of the window over the Sussex Downs, he realised what a fantastic view that was. How could it be captured, in his own way....?

"The Old View" is a two plate reduction lino cut. It has been created with a desire to capture the feeling of days when you're stuck indoors, but would rather be outside, exploring the countryside.

I draw then carve the lino plates to print the final piece myself, using techniques I have taught myself over the past few years.

Due to the nature of the reduction technique, these prints cannot be reproduced in their original form again, so there is a limited edition of only 14.

As the artist, I am lucky to have both the Sussex Downs and the seaside pretty much both on my doorstep! Both of which provide inspiration for a lot of my art.
