Giraffe, Reduction Linocut

Here we have the beautiful Giraffe. Such an amazing animal, this original print was a pleasure to create, drawing and carving over 70 hours, using the reduction method, to give the detail that you can see in the close up picture, resulting in an end result which looks photo like.

This print has been shortlisted for the Royal Academy of Art summer Exhibition, 2020. The final list is yet to be published.

This has been printed using a single plate of lino, and the detail has been achieved by reducing the lino for each layer (8 in total), so no others can be made, making the small edition very collectible.
